Clouds.
I have always been fascinated with clouds because they are constantly changing. Especially in a city like Toledo where the weather is very volatile, you can have dark looming figures over your head that merge into fluffy white clouds within a few minutes. On Thursday, when I captured this particular image, that's exactly what happened. When I left my apartment, the weather was very gloomy. The grass was wet, and the sun was coyly hiding behind a shield of grey. An hour later, the grey figures parted to reveal a warm, glowing sun, that illuminated the clouds. This particular image captures the moment I noticed the weather had changed drastically. While editing the photo, I also cropped it to focus more on the clouds and less on the hill underneath them.
The photograph itself has a large resolution of 3264 x 1582, has good exposure, and isn't as pixelated in appearance as some of my other shots. However, I did take it with a 8 MP camera on my Moto G4 Play without flash, so the quality isn't as great as it would be on my DSLR camera. I increased the contrast just a little bit to make the colors appear more vibrant.
The filter I used in this image makes the clouds appear pink, which gives it a very dreamy, fairy tale-esque appearance. I like that the fantasy aesthetic of the clouds contrast really well with the green hill underneath, almost as if the trees and the grass are "grounding" me. Yet, I've still got my head up in the clouds...
