Research
One of the worst parts of being an international student at a small university in the United States is the lack of research opportunities available to you.
I have had to do my research entirely on my own because of the lack of resources available to me at UT. However, I am very passionate about my topic and willing to put in the effort it takes.
Sadly, doing this alone is a very lengthy and complicated process, and with the hectic semester I have had, it is beginning to appear even more difficult. I have this fear in my mind...what if all of this effort is useless? What if my topic isn't really important? Is this subject even valuable?
In the end, I hope all the incredible amount of effort I am putting in is worth it.
My goal next year will be to finish up the research I started this semester so I can finally present my findings at a conference. I love research and I am determined to pursue it despite all the obstacles that stand in my way.
