Generative Art
This week in art class we got to experiment with generative art.
I created two images using Scribbler Too:
I had to recreate this image at least 5 times because I wasn't happy with my other attempts. I attempted to trace my eyes and nose, but they made the image look awkward. Thus, I decided to only include my eyebrows and lips. The result is this drawing that looks extremely fierce yet mysterious at the same time. I love it.
For the second image, I attempted to draw something with volume so I made this:
I made an odd shaped container with sticks of various sizes inside of it. It was difficult for me to come up with the concept for this as I wasn't sure how to portray volume. I darkened some areas to represent depth whereas shallow areas were drawn lighter. I am not sure if I was successful at that attempt!
Playing With Fire
Playing With Fire
Blue. A warm, peaceful color. Juxtaposed with the white curvy line in the center, it invokes a strange feeling of tranquility that is so missing in my life. The white line adds stability to this image, while the blue lines add rhythm. I chose to put softer lines in this image to make it look more peaceful. I especially like the softer round circles that are on the center right side of the image. If I had to remake this image, I would include more lines like that to make it look even more serene.
When I am happy, I feel like dancing with joy. I spin in circles around my rooms. I especially love doing this in a skirt. The colors that make me happy are bright and vibrant like the ones in this picture. I tried to capture the sheer moment of ecstasy I feel when I am truly happy. The kind that makes your whole world look brighter and more colorful. Can you feel the fire dancing with joy in this image?
